XP64 A1.jpg

CB Electronics introduces XPatch-64 with XPatch2 software. XPatch-64 is a 64x64 digitally controlled, fully analogue audio patch bay routing system for audio professionals and aimed at streamlining workflow in even the most demanding post or music studios. Design based on the XPatch-32.

After user feedback from the XPatch-32, we have now added to XPatch-32/64 a High Impedance I/P card option for guitar pedals, Instruments etc and a 5 pin DIN Midi I/P to allow snapshot selection from midi pedals.

In any studio, the XPatch-64 can make it quick and easy to use your favorite new and legacy hardware effect’s units in your mix.

Once configured, XPatch-64 can operate independently of the XPatch2 program and host computer via the front panel encoder, 5 pin din midi input (PC Commands) or foot-switch. By switching between up to 128 snapshots, the foot-switch enables the XPatch-64 to be used as a powerful studio or live performance tool for musicians.

What Customers are saying about XPatch

The XPatch-64 is AWESOME!

As a console and outboard hardware user, I need a simple, reliable way to be able to use all of my gear. Old school patch bays are great but you have to make detailed records of what it routed to where and keep them up to date. And changing routings takes time. The XPatch-64 and the XPatch2 software for windows and Mac OS allow me to use, then change how I use my outboard gear at the click of a mouse. I can use my DBX compressors on Toms for a tracking session then quickly reconfigure the rig to use them on guitars and overheads in a mix, and with 64 channels of I/O XPatch-64 has allowed me to bring every console channels insert into the patching system so I have even less cables in the consoles built-in cable patch bay than ever before.

Sonically using XPatch-64 is like plugging into the hardware directly. The digitally controlled routing makes no difference to the sound or tone of the hardware. In fact, in switching to XPatch-64, I actually found cables in the rig that were not up to spec and was able to change these out or remove them from the rig all together.

Another bonus is that I now have the option of introducing high impedance guitar pedal effects into my patches allowing me to use studio grade rack effects alongside guitar stomp boxes to create some very interesting effects chains. It doesn’t matter that it’s a different form factor or connection type XPatch-64 just works with it.

It’s easy to configure, easy to use, sound great and works every time. What’s not to love?

My latest CB Electronics addition is the XPatch-32, picked it over the competition due to some key features not available elsewhere.

The gain control was the biggest factor for me, and being able to do that in the box, wow! I have several vintage outboard that with this feature helps keep things in the “sweet spot”.

As a stand-alone the front panel control is a very nice touch when on my remote gigs. I’m in broadcast so these features are integral for repeatability.

This has made a huge impact on being spontaneous trying different recording and mixing chains

Since owning the XPatch-32 it has sped up my workflow and helped me become more creative,
I can’t imagine being without it!

The combination of the matrix and the paths is SO powerful!
Goodbye endless plug-ins and repulsing and then re-creating what was done a week ago!
I’m very happy with the XPatch-64!
It will change for the better how I can work in the studio!
What a time saver!
