Loving this XPatch-64! One click and I’m tracking synths. Another and I’m tracking guitars or vox through my favorite hardware effects chains. Another click and I’m mixing or mastering w/ the same hardware on FX channels. F’ing brilliant. #xpatch64

Thank You David!

Explanations of the 5 Setups (screen shots) from David

Resort Default

General tracking, mixing and mastering.  It routes all of my instruments, including synths, drum synths, guitars and mics, to the DAW, with stereo effects loops to Culture Vulture and Distressors.  It also routes stereo outs to analog monitors.  [My 5.1 surround mains are digital.]

Vocals

Routes my favorite vocal mic pre through two serial Distressors.  A Culture Vulture is bypassed by default but readily available, should I want distortion.  [I might modify this setup in the future to allow parallel signal paths to the DAW - dry and wet.  If the dry signal is overloading, I can incorporate a couple dbx 560A comp/limiters.]

Guitars

Similar to Vocals - routes my favorite guitar mic pre through common hardware effects, all bypassed by default but ready for action.  [I still rely on amp sims for much of my tonal shaping, but am using more and more hardware, now that it's so easy to punch it in.  And, considering the investment, I want to use that hardware at every opportunity!]

Voyager Vulture

Routes my Moog Voyager synth through the Culture Vulture for some nice warm distortion.  That's the downside to hardware - no memory/recall - so, when I dial in a sound that's 'special,' I want to track it wet.

CODE Vulture

Routes my Studio Electronics CODE 8 synth through the Culture Vulture.  Same thing.
