XPatch is designed to replace a physical patch bay, however the electronic versions cannot pass Phantom and can have noise issues. It is possible to implement smaller electronic path systems using relays as the switching element. The new XP-Relay range is designed to satisfy this market and will be available in 4 sizes.
8 Input x 4 Output, target price £1,000 ($1,400)
8 Input x 8 Output, target price £1,200 ($1,700)
16 Input x 8 Output, target price £1,600 ($2,200)
16 Input x 16 Output, target price £2,200 ($3,050)
All units are housed in a 1U rack mounting box and include a 48v linear power supply with remote controllable phantom switching on every input. A configuration setting will enable/disable the phantom completely on any input(s). When Phantom is Off there is a direct connection between input and output. When Phantom is enabled there is a blocking capacitor between input and output to isolate the 48v.
Up to 4 XPatch or XP-Relay units can be controlled by the XPatch4 software which allows units to be combined in different ways including using two units as stereo pairs, for example two XP-Relay 16x16’s can be controlled as a single stereo 16x16 relay based patch panel.
Now available to Pre-Order at early adopter pricing, with expected shipping Q4 2021.
New Product Range Designed for EuroRack Synths.
In November 2023 we were aked if we could make a version of the XPatch for EuroRack Synthesisers, This has been an interesting and enjoyable project and we are now at the prototype stage.
Another great in depth review from Matt Houghton at Sound on Sound for our XP-Relay!
It’s a winning combination of sophisticated software and refreshingly simple hardware.
Read the review with the link below to see what he thinks.
Users have asked if we have a plug-in that would allow them to save the xpatch setup with their session. While looking at this for the future we have an interim solution.
It’s the first day of the show.

Apart from the some small bug fixes in both the Software and firmware the main change with XPatch 4.2 is the inclusion of a Stream Deck Interface.
Unfortunately due to component price rises we have been forced to put the price up on the XPatch-32/64/96.
The XP-Relay is the latest member of the XPatch family, as the name suggests the crosspoint matrix is made from relays. The XP-Relay is available with a 8x8 up to 16x16 Matrix. The 16x16 uses 256 relay’s for the audio matrix and a further 16 relays for phantom power on/off.
In the past year we have added two new XP devices (XPatch-96 and XP-Relay) to the Xpatch-32 and XPatch-64 and made a number of upgrades to the XPatch4 Software. In fact so many that I have to be reminded by users about some.
Unfortunately due to component price rises we have been forced to put the price up on the XPatch-32/64/96.
Finally - We are happy with the silk screen, we are sending out the first modules to be tested by users next week. We can now get the Gain module silk screened! Happy Days.
