Description

The CB EDL recorder enables easy reconstruction of live edits to simplify and reduce the time required in the generation of edited highlights. By logging the real time decisions of the video editor in a standard EDL format the original camera tapes/files may be accessed quickly and accurately.

AVID Import

The current release of Media Composer (2019) seems to have issues with EDL-files, it cannot even import EDL’s generated by Avid! The Media Composer can import AAF files, one way to generate a AAF from an EDL is to use Final Cut as follows:

Import the EDL in Final Cut, it works perfectly as expected, the AAF export from Final Cut can be imported into Avid.
